We are delighted to share some important news \u2013 in the April issue of the global ICEEFT newsletter (69th ISSUE April 2026<\/em>), the first substantive article authored by someone from Poland has been published \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf1. The author of the publication is Barbara S\u0142awik, who works as a certified EFT psychotherapist and supervisor, and has been actively supporting the development of the Polish EFT community from the very beginning \ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her article addresses a highly important and at the same time complex topic: working with secrets and unexpected disclosures in couple therapy. This is an area that raises many questions and uncertainties among clinicians \u2013 both at the ethical and practical levels. The article presents an attachment-based perspective, taking into account the diversity of cultural, legal, and ethical contexts in which therapists work around the world \ud83c\udf10 It does not propose a single \u201cright\u201d solution, but rather invites reflection on the complexity of therapeutic decision-making \ud83e\udde0 and shows how these decisions can be grounded within the EFT framework \u2013 with attention to safety, relationship, and context \ud83e\udd1d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Jackie Evans from the Canadian editorial team highlights: \u201cUntil now, the ICEEFT newsletter has included only two short articles about the development of the Polish EFT community, published as part of the regular section News \/ Updates from ICEEFT-affiliated Centres & Communities<\/em> \u2013 including one from early 2022, also authored by Barbara S\u0142awik. This newest publication is the first full-length substantive EFT article from Poland in the global ICEEFT newsletter \u2728\ud83d\udcd8, and \u2013 importantly \u2013 the first one prepared and made available globally also in Polish \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf1\ud83d\udcc4.\u201d This makes the article more accessible and useful for our local community of therapists learning and practicing EFT \ud83d\udc65<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an important step \u2013 the presence of a Polish voice in the international EFT community and a contribution to the development of clinical reflection \ud83c\udf31\ud83c\udf0d We hope this is just the beginning \u2013 and that more articles from Poland, also available in Polish, will appear more and more often \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf1\ud83d\udcc4\ud83d\ude42 We are happy to see our community becoming increasingly visible worldwide \ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n
