In the global ICEEFT newsletter (69th Issue, April 2026), the first scholarly article from Poland 🇵🇱 has been published, authored by Barbara Sławik 📘

The article addresses a highly important and at the same time complex topic: working with secrets and unexpected disclosures in couples therapy. This is an area that raises many questions and doubts among clinicians—both on ethical and practical levels. The text presents an attachment-based approach that takes into account the diversity of cultural, legal, and ethical contexts in which therapists work around the world 🌐. Rather than offering one “correct” solution, the article invites reflection on the complexity of therapeutic decision-making 🧠 and shows how these decisions can be grounded within the EFT framework—with attention to safety, relationship, and context 🤝.
