Escalation Under the Microscope: What Frozen Moments Taught Us in the “Freeze-Frame in Chaos!” Seminars 🎥🎬

.

The first edition of the seminar series “Freeze-Frame in Chaos! A Precise Analysis of Working with Escalation” 🎥🎬 has come to an end. At each of the two sessions, held in February and March, nearly 30 participants experienced the joy of learning together.

During the first session, we worked with a couple’s session in which one partner felt deeply discouraged and no longer saw any hope for the relationship. We explored, moment by moment, what escalation looks like, how easy it is to get stuck in a sense of helplessness, and which micro-interventions can help, even slightly, open up space for connection.

February 2026

During the second session, we worked with a couple following a recent affair, where the pain connected to the offending partner’s lies was still very much alive. We discussed the specifics of working with attachment injury in the early stage of the process, as well as the needs of both the injured partner and the one who caused the hurt. We also explored how, in a sea of pain and anger, to guide the couple toward small, emotionally engaging bonding moments.

What made these seminars particularly unique was the opportunity to watch each session in full, from beginning to end—pausing, listening to each other’s reflections, questions, and ways of making sense of what was happening between the partners and within me as a therapist 💬🧠.
I really value that moment when, through discussion, a single session begins to unfold into many different, meaningful perspectives.

Thank you to all participants for your presence, attentiveness, and willingness to be part of this process together ❤️‍🩹. And for helping to ease my nerves when showing full, “uncensored” sessions 🙃.

My heartfelt thanks also go to the couples 😍 who agree to have their sessions recorded for training purposes. Using these recordings allows participants to better understand couple therapy, supports their professional growth, and ultimately benefits all the couples they continue to work with.

Below are a few words from your feedback forms:

“An excellent training format—short in duration, with a perfect balance between learning and experiencing. Being able to follow a full session along with a discussion of all the micro-interventions allows for a sense of continuity and a deeper understanding of EFT.”
Beata Krzyżanowska

“A valuable training that demonstrates practical work with an escalating couple—step by step, in a way that supports the immediate application of knowledge and skills in the therapy room. I experienced a strong sense of clarity in the interventions used and the theoretical framework applied. I benefited greatly from this training.”
Grażyna Skuza

“As always, the workshop met my expectations. Watching sessions is always valuable for me, and in this case even more so, as the topic of attachment injuries is particularly challenging. The presented session also showed the difficulties the therapist encountered—and she did not hide them, commenting on them and explaining why she chose specific interventions. She was also able to access the pain carried by the partner who caused the hurt—which is very difficult, especially at the beginning of the process (this was very valuable for me, and I was impressed), while at the same time making it clear that this partner is responsible for the affair. The way the therapist held both the injured and the injuring partner, while preventing excessive escalation, is knowledge I will carry into my future work. I feel deep gratitude for these workshops—thank you.”
Danka

“A practical seminar explaining step by step what is happening in the session and the direction in which the therapist is guiding the process.”
Tomasz

“The opportunity to watch an entire session, accompanied by comments and reflections on what is happening in the moment, allows knowledge to be integrated with experience. An incredibly valuable and unique experience.”
Aneta

“The workshop was conducted very professionally, in a warm and supportive atmosphere. A particularly valuable experience was the opportunity to observe the therapist working with a couple, along with a detailed discussion of each intervention and the therapist’s thought process. There was also space for sharing experiences and asking questions. A very valuable and enriching training 🙂.”
Magdalena

See you at future trainings. Warm regards 😍
