PHILOSOPHY

People are very complex. That is why I use integrative approach in my work. I use my knowledge in psychodynamic, mentalisation, systemic and emotionally focused therapy to tailor to individual needs.

Psychodynamic approach

The style of creating relations may sometimes be problematic and lead to depression or fear. For instance, one can unconsciously sabotage relations with the people important for him or her to avoid getting hurt or rejected. In the psychodynamic therapy one cooperates with the therapist to understand how he or she treats others. By careful studying the models inside and outside the therapeutic room people can experience psychological development.

Mentalisation

It refers to our capability of understanding mental states – our own and of others. We mentalize when we try to understand behaviours in terms of the intentions and other internal states. Focusing on the specification of human skill, treating it as a tool of therapeutic intervention, is the foundation of the Mentalisation Therapy.

Systemic therapy

Systemic, family, partner or married couple therapies – all of them combine common understanding of the family as a system of dynamically connected elements that influence one another. There are no single defective parts. The psychotherapist operates with this system as a whole and makes each of its members co-responsible for the reported difficulties.

Emotionally focused therapy

This scientifically grounded trend is mainly used in the couple therapy. It assumes focusing on the individual experience of each partner – in relation to the search for repeated patterns in the interaction between partners – to change them into more flexible and making the relationship work better.
